Bexhill Classic Car Easter Parade

Hi folks,

Last weekend being Easter Sue an I went to the Motor Caravanner Club in Bexhill and had a fantastic time. On Easter Sunday there was a show of cars at Britain's first racetrack which in 1902 raced along the seafront. The first picture is a modern sculpture to commemorate the event.

Some of the classic cars on display.

This one has an extra Bonnet or Hood to our American friends.

Stuck on a Morris Van for the occasion.

Now for a British Classic, the Austin Seven.

and the basket on the roof to boot.

Ferret Show

Hi folks,
well now for something completely different. Today (Saturday) Sue and I visited the Harrietsham Ferret Rescue Show to meet Ken of the famous Daisy Diary and of course Holly and the stars of the blog Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.
Now this is one of the worst senario for a photographer with poor lighting, ferrets that either run about at 100mph or laid asleep in cages which have bars in front of them. Still being up for a challenge I went for it, some of what I took below.

The Queen at Canterbury

Hi folks,
well after the unveiling on Thursday and Sue working in Canterbury on Friday I had to go and look at the statues. You can see that they are new with them both gleaming in the sunlight

Lets have a closer look.

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip together.

To make up a trio, Elizabeth I a bit darker due to the age of the statue.

On the left hand side of the West Door we have Prince Albert and Queen Victoria.

Looking skywards and thinking of Vickie, Pat and James across the pond.

More statues to the left of the door, you can just see restoration work going on at the side.

Last look at the outside with the restoration of the South window.

Last look inside as we say goodbye to Canterbury Cathedral.

Surprise Visitor to Canterbury Cathedral

Hi folks,
a few more of the inside before the arrival of the "special guest", I wonder if you all got who it was? The second image of the last blog gave it away.

Another shot of the ceiling with the supporting pillar to one side to give a bit more height.

Lastly the West Door with a statue/s to be unveiled today by GUESS WHO? on the left is Albert and Victoria just to give you a clue.

Inside Canterbury Cathedral

Hi folks,
Sue was working in the city today so I thought I would tag along and play around with the camera in the Cathedral.

Enjoyed the day, I wonder if you can spot the special shot.

Back again with Dave and Frank

Hi folks,

somebody (not to mention her name) has nagged me about not doing blogs so rather than getting told off again I thought I had better do one. This blog does not have a chimney in sight! lol.

I have got to play catch up now so back in February we, that is Sue and I went to a club meet in Appledore, Kent with our good friends Winnie and Dave.

As the field was a bit waterlogged we had to park in a line on the road which was a bit different.

Dave our Minion did the driving.

Dave was a one off from the Dockside Outlet in Chatham and was standing all alone on the shelf so I took pity on him

On the Sunday morning it was St Davids Day so Frank a club member got out his Welsh Flag. We are not going to mention Saturday as it chucked it down with rain all day.

Lastly outside on the road is a bridge going into Appledore with the Royal Military Canal running under it. The campsite is on the left.

Short and sweet bit at least I have started again, so I need inspiration and a lot of comments to keep me going.
