I would like to introduce you to something I enjoy doing in photography, that's going into dark and sometimes creepy churches.
This one St. Mary's Church is right in the country side on the outskirts of Higham, past the village and all on it's own completely surrounded by country side with fields going off in all directions.
The light is mostly subdue but the upside is the wonderful stain glass windows that adorn the buildings.
This is a famous fifteenth century woodwork screen.
Daisy found it quite scary at first but soon got used to it and laughed at the Priest in the Pulpit made of straw, you can just make him out on the r/h side.
Now this is what I came in for apart from a short prayer.....................
Even Daisy enjoyed the windows and that's good for a nearly 4 year old, she got out her Lego camera and had a great time. Her pictures weren't bad either We duly left after leaving a donation happy in the fact that the Churches Conservation Trust was looking after them for our grand children.
Well worth a visit.
Thanks for dropping by.
