back to the harbour and a look at the new sea wall design at the end of the Harbour created with the help of the local school children and the council. You can just see the clay stones made by the children amongst the original pebbles and held up by the mesh.
Close up of the handmade pebbles and the knitted sea creature.
Knitted sea characters adorn the walls.
The sky was still blue although the wind was cold.
On the other side of the harbour was a market stall selling antiques and various souvenirs.
Colourful fish nets along the harbour wall.
Of course the dogs were out for their morning walks.
I liked the diver under the brolly painted onto the back of this hut.
Finally another fish mascot on the side of the fish market, will go inside tomorrow.
That's all for today and will conclude Whitstable harbour tour tomorrow.
Thanks for looking.
Best regards, Mike

Hi Chris, thanks for the lovely comments, we did try to reply to you but you had taken your blog down. There is a problem with blogger and using an Iphone or Ipad that a comment will not show up, I have to go onto my main machine to leave a comment which I tried to do last night but alas it was missing.
ReplyDeletePerhaps if you had left it there for a while people would have noticed, when I was not able to post because of my knee, lots of regular viewers dropped out.
Perhaps try again and leave it there for a while, Luv Mike XXXX
