Prague, My View # 12

Hi again,

next stop Prague Castle. Most of the inside of the Castle and the Cathedral of St. Vitus are covered in the Christmas Blog check them out. That I didn't get was the outside but unfortunately the weather changed and I got less than intended. Still I managed but had to process the images more to get then to a reasonable standard.
First off the Cathedral, we arrived by tram so entered through the rear of the Castle.

The Provost's Residence and the Monolith below in the centre.

The rear of St. Vitus from U sv. Jiri Square.

Guard on duty outside the Presidential Palace.

Presidential Palace.

Chapel of the Holy Cross although it looks round is actually oblong with a rounded front.

Main gate into the castle complex bit of a shame all the buildings to the right were having repairs done at were covered in scaffolding. Thought the main gate was fantastic " Sculptures of the Battling Giants".

Steps to the Provost's Residence.

The German Embassy to the left of the castle.

What I love about Prague from a photography point of view is the way the River Valta snakes it's way through in a central part with the City below and the Castle rising up on both sides. Once you are back in the City all the high rise buildings that you see in the distance are not visible and Prague keeps all it's charm.

Thanks for looking. Regards, Mike
