Continuing of with our blustery and wet weekend with the MCC. AS promised we went on a Wetherspoons ramble and found another unique place to eat and drink, the weather was about to close in again so we frequented the other establishment but refrained from eating.
This was Cornford Garage now another refurbished restaurant in the town with it's own unique style with lots of artifacts relating from the motor trade dotted about. Being in the trade I was in my element.
Although in a modern setting, it retained lots of Motor Memorabilia, this poor lady eating in the centre was a bit taken aback by the camera.
A drawing on the wall of the original garage.
I thought this was a nice touch a special cabinet to house car parts, you can just make out an old gauges in the foreground.
Photo of the original workshop, the cars were bought in via a rear service road at the back of the high street.
Table laid out for an early Christmas Lunch.
Brief History of the original garage, it you click on the image it will enlarge so that it can be read.
Back at the school and with the rain now set in we went to the hall and had a cup of tea and a mince pie whilst teams tried to win a large bottle of whiskey by trying to get a pound coin closest to the bottle. Needless to say I lost.
Then came the evening and we were entertained by this fantastic pair and we danced the night away.
The table decorations were wonderful and everybody had a great time.
Last one of the evening and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, well done Sussex club a fantastic weekend. Cheers, Mike and Sue.
Great post, interesting contracted, how one pub/restaurant is modern and the other one left in the period. Loved the table decorations, looks like a great time was had by all at the party. Mrs Egg.
