well you know what they say, you can't get enough on a good thing. We ended up with our granddaughter for THREE days this week due to her mum working, instead of two.
Yesterday started off with loads of rain so Daisy and Sue thought cakes where the order of the day and spent the afternoon in the kitchen. I must warn everyone that she still has the marks of her Chicken Pops as she calls it so sorry for the spots in advance.
Come on Nanny, I am ready.....
This cake making takes a lot of concentration....
Mix it all together, when can we eat it she wants to know.
Slap it in the dish....
Come on Nanny, put it in the oven for me, now what's next?
The lighting which was florescent was not up to much but if I had started to mess about with lights all you would have got would be a scrunched up face and tears.
A woman's work is never done until the washing up is completed, then when it is cooked we have to wait for it to cool down.
We never took a picture of the completed cake, a Victoria Sandwich with Vanilla Butter Icing, as it was eaten in a flash. Not really but it's gone now and was delicious.
Thanks for looking. nite nite, luv Mike XX
