sorry to cut you short yesterday.
Right where was I? oh yes, the main jousting event was about to start, first off was the big man in charge of the proceedings................
the King ! Henry VIII himself.
With his charming wife Anne Boleyn. (before he cut her head off).
I must say, the backdrop for this event is marvellous.
Sir Stephen of Porlock in Red. The Joist was split up into two, the Blues and the Reds at each end of the field. The crowd then cheered for their end of the field, great fun was had by all.
A blue horse at rest, some of them are ex Dressage and had lovely temperament.
This is Bob just coming out of the sack, he (she) gave the knights some cheek so Sir Jasper (red team) put her in a sack and pulled him around the Arena much to the delight of the crowd.
Sir David of Kent at the Quintain (revolving target) with Sir William of Antioch just missed being hit with the sack.
Sir David of Kent trying his hand at spearing Saracens heads, made out of polystyrene of course.
Sir Jasper and Sir David having a sword fight, the event was full of action.
Hope that gives you an insight into the event, a few more tomorrow.
Thanks for dropping by,
