Fun and Games at Womenswold

Hi folks,
Just one blog more from our fantastic weekend away with the Kent and Sussex Auto Camping Club.

John who commented on the last blog stating that he was born on the village and mentioned the school well here it is, now a training centre.

Not much of a picture although there is at telephone inside it, I don't think it has much use with the amount of vegetation inside it

Just round the corner from the camp site.

Then on Saturday evening the fun and games started thanks to Jackie and Dave, great fun was had by all. Frank trying to scupper the game as usual.

One of the many games they brought along this was to try and pick up the "radio active" bucket with just rope and an elastic strap, brilliant idea.

After we all settled down to Bush Tucker Trials YUCK.

Smashing weekend, great company and great weather.

Trip to Womenswold

Hi folks,
This week we take a trip to a nice spot near Canterbury out in the country and on the North Downs.

The small hamlet has a Church, school and about twenty houses.

Rolling fields around with crop of corn nearly ready. Annie managed to get in the shot.

and a crop circle as well, naturally formed I might add.

Prague, My View, #17

Hi folks,

Late in the day now so a trip up the river was on the cards before the light goes.

Charles Bridge with the Old Town Bridge Tower still to climb on the far bank, that's the dark one that is which like the one on the other side it's arch straddles the bridge.

Going up river on the right is Sue's Penguins in yellow which act as a navigation aid into the lock.

Due to a Weir we turned and proceeded back up the river and under the Charles Bridge again.

Svatopluk Cech Bridge with it's ornate statues. We had lunch a couple of days later by the river under the canopies on the other bank.

Hi again folks,

Short one text wise but relevant to my generation as I and many others were bought up with this man. May I present John Lennon's wall.

The wall and the pub are down by the river and next to the Charles Bridge...enjoy.

Got to finish with the padlocks which the keys are thrown into to river.

This chap picks them up!

Prague, My View # 15

Hi again folks,
we got a tram back to Charles Bridge and I took this shot and still to this day wonder how they did it. The people behind were tourists and although it looks like they were involved they were only by standers I loved the lady on the left peering and trying to work the illusion out. Well worth a couple of crowns.

Each side of the Charles Bridge there are towers and my mission was to climb both. This shot was looking down from where the trumpeters were in the Christmas blog, if you remember.

At the top and after I had got my breath back I admired the view across the City of Spires.

This was another view from the guide book that inspired our return. Shame the light was a bit dim but never mind the next day I would try from the other tower across the river which you can see.

Hi again Folks,
Last batch from the Castle as it was time to descend back down into the city. I decided to concentrate on the gardens and an Owl display

Back to the fantastic gardens.

Lastly a modern sculpture, saying that's yer lot and have one on me!
