St. Michael's, part 2

Hi folks,

Just a few more of the windows to complete the series from this wonderful church.

This first insert was painted by the wife of the vicar of Hernhill 160 years ago

The very  top windows are thought to be 300 years old and depict scenes from the old testament.

The next four are close ups of the top windows.

Lastly another one by the vicars wife.

That completes my visit to the church, more information can be found at.

Luv, Mike

  1. Hi Mr Mechanic, Fabulous blog, wonderful stain glass windows, Vicar's wife was very artistic. Mrs Egg.

  3. I look at the rectangular windows for ages only just realised they seem to depict the sale of Joseph to into slavery and the presenting of is blood stained clothing to Jacob his father. I'll have to wait some weeks to post my versions of them now!!!

  4. Fantastic pictures Mike.... Love the richness of the colours. Great post again Mike xx
