Wakehurst and the Seed Bank

Hi again folks,
today we have to go backwards to Saturday as I skipped a day doing the kites, I hope that makes sense  Anyway on Saturday we had headed off and went to the Seed Bank in Wakehurst. The day started off dull but brightened as the day progressed.
The bank holds a variety of seeds for the future and has a vault to store then in, more on that later.

I promised Daisy a " Watcher" so here he is standing by the entrance to the gardens.

I think he is more elaborate than yours, what do you think?

Around the ground was a significant amount of sculptures relating to seeds.

The gardens are adorned with 17 sculptures made of Willow by Tom Hares which captured the complexity and simplicity of nature in it's wildest forms. Below are a few of them.

The Seed Bank complex is behind the sculpture.

A few more of Toms sculptures.

Below are the three sculptured balls depiction seeds, I will attempt to take you inside the seed bank tomorrow.

Thanks for dropping by.

Best regards, Mike
