Continuing on with the sights around this train station.
At the end of the original station and under the clock stands a bronze 20 ton sculpture, 29.5 feet (9 meters) of a man and woman in an embrace called "The Meeting Place".
Designed by Paul Day erected in 2007
Around the bottom of the sculpture around the plinth are these fascinating additions added in 2008 of this bronze relief frieze as you can see above.
From another angle the sculpture was meant to evoke the romance of travel.
Lastly I added some colour of passengers on their travels.
