still on the pre-National, we went on the coach trip to Windsor, that is two coach loads of members.
The weather was fine and had a great time walking around the town with a Weatherspoons lunch.. We arrived at the coach station to begin our day with some lovely sights even as we disembarked the coach.
On arrival a view from the station looking across to Windsor with the sun shining adding to our day.
Greeted by the mock Queen in the station.
Great detail in the badge.
Walking through the station I looked up at it's fantastic roof.
And on to the Station ticket office, wow what a building.
As we walked inside the decoration and the woodwork where out of this world.
Just look at the roof.
Up into the town we went and the first thing we noticed was the crowds forming at the castle.
Apparently it was time for the changing of the guard so we waited a while to see the event.
Out of the castle they came, the pipes filled the air with music.
Followed by the Guardsman, what a great start to a lovely day.
We continued to explore the town with more pictures to come, all the best Mike
I love it there.
ReplyDeleteYep it was a great day.
DeleteA lovely historical place the railway station has great architectural features and it has a lovely cafe for tea and cakes.Good timing for the changing of the guards. We certainly know how to put on a show in Britain. Mrs Egg
