Hi folks,
Carrying on from my visit to London and as I was near to Guys, we had a walk to the Cathedral for a look around and to my surprise I was allowed to take some pictures. now the downfall is that I did not have my tripod and the Cathedral was a bit dark but here goes.
As you can see, this is the time we left so I must have started taking pictures about 3.30 pm
Daisy was good in the Church and started to sing " Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". Nanny said you will have to sing quietly as we were in a Cathedral and she carried on softly under her breath.
This is why she was singing, hanging in the centre from the roof was a mobile of stars.
Stain glass window at the rear
Side Naive.
There is a beautiful ceiling above the alter which I will try to capture next time
Next month when I go back to Guys I will have another go
Thanks for looking.
nite nite, luv Mike XX
Ooo how sweet was Daisy singing Mike ... sometimes it's sad when kids grow up and lose that wonder of all thing news! Thanks for this post .. I am very interested to see more ... super pictures... I am glad they let you take them xx
ReplyDeleteBTW.. I opened the door for my Daisy to go this morning ( Holly is still in bed LOL) and she was stunned to see the deep snow... stood still for a while, then jumped about like a spring lamb ... trying to catch some snow faeries!! Soooooo funny lol
* new* not news lol !
ReplyDeleteIt cost £2 for a permit which in London was great although I put some in the box as well. I love Churches/Cathedrals for there varied colours and tones and the challenge of getting it all in in a fairly confined space and bad lighting.
ReplyDeleteAs I said I am looking forward to going back, next time I will be prepared. XX
Worth every penny Mike, great shots.
ReplyDeleteIt is a pity the Ray doesn't put his on line as he has churches from all over the world.
Fabulous post Mike, we want more ! Shame we cant hear Daisy singing as well !
