yesterday we visited this Memorial Garden for the children and adults of the Aberfan disaster in 1966 where coal slag built up over many years slipped down the hill and enveloped the school and a row of cottages.
Areas are laid out where the classrooms once stood.
Gate to the playground next to the Memorial Garden.
On the right is the replacement school, built where the cottages once stood.
It was a bit of a wet day but seemed fitting whilst we stood there.
Thanks for looking luv, Mike
