Trials,Tribulations and Happy Moments in my busy life

Well, a bright but pretty dull day

Hi Folk's.

This is going to get hard as yesterday all that happened was that I had to work. I am sure you all don't really want to here about that.....

I think I will add a couple of pictures

This is one on the new flower beds a Leeds Castle.

Then I came upon this funny looking thing, what the ....... is it?

Anyone any ideas, it was very near the stream so it must like water.

Well I nearly deleted this blog, but what the heck.

All the best, Mike

  1. I don't know why you would want to delete it as it was early in the day and things can only get better.

The flowers don't look very friendly wot! I don't know where to look to find out but maybe Eileen has a book that will tell us.

  4. Eileen, we had you down as a horticulturist, he said you would bound to know. The actual petal head came out of the ground and as it grew up the stem like part emerged. The long seed head was inside and could be seen as it slightly opened.
I have seen them before in Rudyard Kipling's' house in Sussex and they were also beside the water.

Sorry Trev my fault, the blog is supposed to be about what you did yesterday, i.e Daisy and Holly have already got them selves covered in poo, that was yesterday not today, that's why you or we do our blogs first thing in the morning, wot. A Diary of what has happened in the past.
Tommorow's blog would read if I did one, "got really dirty today but earnt a few quid"

  7. We have a lot in common, I hate Gardening , it's a never ending battle against nature. Don't do cooking either.

Love Daisy, Sue, Ian and the family.

All the things food wise I like don't like me.

  8. I seem to remember telling Eileen of a sign I saw in someone's window that read "If you can't smell burning then I am not cooking", I immediately thought of Eileen.
I shall ask my neighbour who belongs to a gardening club about the weird flowers and report.
